Job description

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Management:
• Support and coach team members in the organization and the execution of their daily and weekly activities to reach the commercial objectives set by the Management.
• Build up the team capacity in line with Advans policies and best practices.
• Communicate the most recent versions of sales arguments, product features, policies, procedures, and methodologies and ensure that they are well understood and respected by the team.
• Participate in the regular assessment of team members and the identification of training needs.
Monitoring of the performance:
• Take part in the definition of commercial targets of the staff under supervision.
• Closely monitor the performance of team members on credit (including productivity and portfolio quality), deposit, and other financial services, and propose steps for improvement to ensure that commercial objectives are met.
Production:
• Be a driving force for the acquisition of new clients and be involved in building sales relationships with strategic clients of the branch.
• Assess the risk of loan files, particularly through management visits, and decide in credit committees within the delegation framework.
• Perform recovery activities when needed and according to the recovery procedures.
Reporting:

Escalate relevant information about clients, team members, and global performance to the Branch Manager and/or Area Manager.

Control:
• Carry out regular controls designed to mitigate the risk of fraud, particularly on misappropriation of credit and fraud on transactions.
• Carry out management controls to ensure that policies and procedures have been followed properly by team members.
• Monitor the quality of customer relationships among team members.

Representation:
• Foster a healthy relationship with clients and partners of the institution locally.
• Circulate information between the members of the team, the Branch Management, and the Head Office.

CHALLENGES OF THE JOB

• Maintain a close relationship with team members while keeping a good level of authority to reach the objectives and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Build up and maintain a professional and conducive work environment.
• Act as a manager and show some level of autonomy to relieve the Branch Manager’s workload.
• Act as a role model.

Required profile

WHAT KIND OF PROFILE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Do you have a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Related Field of study
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, credit, and commercial financial activities.
  • Strong proficiency in portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and support the development of colleagues and team members.

• Knowledge of policies, procedures, sales arguments, and product features.
• Successful experience in achieving sales objectives and proficiency in portfolio management.
• Proven ability to coach staff through successful shadowing experience and informal coaching of colleagues.
• Proven ability to play an active role in teamwork.
